Springbrook Blue Devils Filed Hockey looks to continue win streak
Wednesday, September 19, 2012 – The Springbrook Blue Devils field hockey team will go to Sherwood High School field today to try to continue their current win streak. After having a strong performance last Saturday against Richard Montgomery, the Blue Devils (3-1-1, 1-1) will try to carry that momentum against the undefeated Sherwood (6-0, 2-0) team. Although the Blue Devils team are a very young team that’s comprised of mostly juniors and sophomore players, they are starting to mold together as a very good team early in the season.
Sophomore goalie Ria Peralta, is one of the big surprises of the season so far. This being her first year playing field hockey goalie position, has adapted to the role nicely. Ria Peralta is currently the top ranking goalie in Montgomery county and has held the overall number one goalie ranking in the DMV in the early weeks of the season.
Today’s Field Hockey game: Springbrook Blue Devils at Sherwood High School starts at 7 pm.
